Obituary Nellie Alberta Chevalier


BUXTON & LAKE WALES FLA. Nellie Alberta Chevalier, 79, of Beech Plains Road,
passed away on Sept. 15, 2006, at her residence after a long illness.
She was born at her family home in Buxton on Dec. 22, 1926,
a daughter of Lawrence and June (Wakefield) Johnson.
As a girl she attended Buxton schools. Later, she worked at Eastern Plastics
in Sanford for 12 years, the Morning Star, now Corning, for 11 years,
and retired from MSAD # 6 as a custodian. She enjoyed motorcycling across the country,
snowmobiling with the Sokokis Riders, spending summers camping with the Pinecrafter Good Sam Club and her family, wintering in Florida in her motor home at Lake Wales,
and playing slots at Foxwoods She always loved to get into a heated discussion on politics,
and reading recent and true crime stories. Walmart was her favorite place to visit, she always joked
her Ford Probe was a shopping cart - not a car. She could be found on weekends at county fairs
with her husband at tractor pulls
She was also an avid Jeff Gordon fan.
She was loving woman who enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her family and friends.
She is predeceased by a son, Reginald Kimball. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Arthur Chevalier;
three sons, David Kimball of Standish, Joseph Kimball of Buxton, and Steven Kimball of Sanford;
two daughters, Cheryl Woodman and her husband Hugh of Lebanon, and Lois Waterhouse and her husband David of Waterboro;
two stepdaughters, Christine Pierson and her husband Mark of Saco, and Sandy Allen and her husband Edward of Sanford;
a stepson, Robert Chevalier and his wife Sheila of Sanford; A brother Erlon Johnson and his wife Elaine of Rochester, NH; A sister, Shirley DuBois of Standish;
22 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
